Choosing and booking your wedding suppliers is a HUGE and really important task!
After you have spent all that time searching, browsing websites, chatting via email, maybe met for coffee to see more of their work, get to know them a bit and then you have finally decided that they are the one….Now what?
Today I wanted to share the process of what happens once you decide you would like to book me as your wedding photographer, how I can help, what I offer and then what happens in the lead up to your wedding day.
I appreciate the time it takes planning a wedding (I got married myself a couple of years ao) and the hours you invest into this is huge! I try to make the whole process as simple and as stress free as possible for you.
Here to help every step of the way

I try and ensure my website has lots of helpful and valuable information for you, to help you along the planning journey. I get that you might have a million and one questions running through your head, so I hope you will find a lot of your questions answered in this blog space. We might have caught up via Skype or in person over coffee so hopefully I have answered all your questions but if you have any others that come to mind, always feel free to pop me an email, I am more than happy to help!
Once you have sent me over an email saying you would like me to photograph your day, I get super excited and pencil you in the diary – I work on a first come first serve basis! I will pop you over an email to your online client portal which has all the details you need to start the booking process – the choice of packages for your day and important documents such as a booking form, a contract for you to sign and your invoice outlining the payment information for your non-refundable booking fee and the payment plan for the rest of the balance.Once you have completed this and I have received your non-refundable booking fee and contract I will confirmed you are all secured in the diary!
Now what happens?
Firstly, I want you to know you can reach out to me at any time. In the lead up to your wedding day, I do not want you to have to worry about anything. I am here if you want to pop me an email or schedule in a call.
If you are worrying about your timeline, group photographs, having your picture taken, the amount of time being covered on your day, anything – just get in touch!
I have lots of experience attending weddings, so hopefully I will be able to give you a bit of reassuring advice, tips on what to do, or help on how to get the most out of your day. But if you are all good and enjoying the process, then you don’t need to worry you won’t be hearing from me every two minutes – I appreciate you are super busy!
If you want to keep in touch throughout the planning journey it is always so lovely to hear from my clients with your wedding plans, what you are choosing, the theme for your day, or even if you want to add me to your Pinterest board – that is great!
I really love to hear your plans and see your wedding vision coming to life.
If you have booked in for an engagement shoot we will start chatting about dates and a location in mind for your session. If you didn’t book an engagement shoot at the time of booking me as your photographer but maybe you have changed your mind and you fancy booking one in, or think it would be beneficial before the big day – please get in touch, we can have a chat on the phone, run through ideas and then get your shoot booked in the diary.
They are so much fun, it’s a great way for you to get some amazing pictures of the 2 of you and experience what it is like to be in front of the camera!

UK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
The next time you will hear from me is about 12 weeks before the wedding day. I will pop you an email to chat about your wedding day timings and group photographs, we can just chat over email or if you would like to book a video call it would be lovely to book in a time to chat virtually. If we live more locally to each other, we can definitely arrange to meet in person meeting and chat over a drink.
As and when you settle more of the details and timings for your day is the best time to schedule a catch up, whether that is on the phone or online. I am here to help with the timeline of your day in the best way I can to ensure you get the most out of the photography from your day. If you want to chat before the 12 week countdown, no worries, please feel free to reach out via email, call, or pop me a DM on Instagram and we can chat further.

Then, this is it, the wedding day is only a couple of days away. I genuinely couldn’t be more excited. I will pop you another email just to check the timings haven’t changed and if there are any last minute plans I need to be aware of. I then spend the days leading up to the wedding making sure all my kit is ready – clean, charged, backups ready, it is a whole process in itself which I won’t bore you with, but I like to be super prepared and organised when it comes to every wedding! I’ve been shooting weddings since 2012, and since 2015 full time, I have got my packing and process down to a tee having managed busy wedding seasons for the past 9 years.
I approach every wedding capturing the moments that take place, the details you have spent so long choosing, the guests you carefully invited to enjoy your day with, the moments you may not have realised were going on in the background, to give a true reflection of your day. I take a limited number of weddings each year as I believe my couples deserve a photographer who is passionate about their wedding, who is ready for their day as if it is the only one that year, and have all my energy and creativity pouring into your day.
After your wedding day, for me the process is only just getting started! I will loving curate your wedding images depending on the package you have selected, and typically for a 9 hour wedding day will deliver a minimum of 550 images. I control the editing process and edit each individual image to give you consistency throughout your entire set of images in my signature style.
The couples I work with love the fresh, light and airy feel to my photography – so this is my focus when shooting but also when it comes to the editing, naturally bring out the beautiful colours in the image – no heavy, crazy colour edits or vintage filters from me!
I will keep you posted throughout the editing process and let you know your expected date to receive your images which can be around 6 weeks from your wedding date.
You will then receive an excited email from me to let you know your online wedding gallery is ready – which includes all your images for you to view, order prints and share with your friends and family. This is a password protected gallery and personalised to you!
And for me, I don’t see this as the end of our relationship – exclusively for Charlotte Bryer-Ash wedding clients, I offer portrait sessions, anniversary shoots, family sessions, maternity shoots! So please feel free to keep in touch.
If you also wanted to chat about your plans with what to do with your wedding photographs after – I offer a wide range of products to showcase your beautiful memories! It would be such a shame to just keep them saved on your computer.
