Lucy and Alex are just the most wonderful couple! When they booked me for their wedding photography back in 2017, we met for coffee and just got on from the minute go. They had the loveliest story of how they met at University in a cycle club together, got engaged in Lucy’s hometown, had dreams of getting a dog and planning a beautiful Dorset countryside wedding. You can even see Rossby over here in their engagement shoot they had in the New Forest.
They chose to host their wedding at the beautiful Tithe Barn on the Symondsbury Estate, with visions of a rustic relaxed wedding with a bike theme tied in – this I was so intrigued to see how they would tie it in! And it turned out amazingly!

I had the pleasure of photographing Alex and his groomsmen first thing, teamed with the awesome Andy and Henry from Roam Wedding Films and then headed off to Lucy and her girls getting ready in the morning.
Now despite the rainy weather (basically all day) it was such a beautiful wedding, starting in such an incredible location. I love how light, bright and airy Tithe Barn as a venue is, in addition to the grounds which were fully in bloom and amazing! It really is the perfect venue, tucked away in the Dorset countryside.
We were all pretty sad to hear Rossby wasn’t able to make it on the wedding day, he was totally there in spirit and…… in cut out version! As a surprise for Lucy and Alex a large than life cut out photo of Rossby was arranged, which was definitely the talking point of the wedding and totally hilarious when it was on the dancefloor later in the day.
The day was jam packed and we even managed to sneak off to the beach – despite it being pretty bad weather by that point, yep rain, wind – Alex and Lucy really wanted to head down there….and it was so worth it.
It was an incredible day, working alongside an amazing team, Lucy and Alex thank you for having me as your wedding photographer! Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.
