Lauren and Gary’s wedding was the perfect Summer wedding – beautiful weather, an incredible wedding setting at Sopley Mill, amazing friends and family to bring together such an unforgettable day!
Sopley Mill is a gorgeous wedding venue located in Christchurch. It is a venue, spread out over three floors that you throughout different parts of your wedding day. It has stunning original features of the watermill, exposed oak beams and incredible views over the Avon water meadows.
When I first met Lauren and Gary, they had just had their little baby boy Harry and fast forward to their wedding day, he was walking around 16 months old, just the cutest little boy loving life an being amazingly looked after by Janine from Wedding Crecherz who are highly recommended in the area!
A new section I am adding to wedding blog posts is my TOP TIP to share with you to help you ahead of your day, maybe an idea or tip that can help you with your wedding day planning! Let me know what you think and if it helps at all.
TOP TIP: My top tips from Lauren and Gary’s wedding….unfortunately this venue didn’t allow confetti to be thrown (such a shame right!) but fear not if you are really wanting a beautiful moment and tunnel vibes! There are some other alternatives to confetti. Double check with your venue first, but Lauren and Gary arranged bubbles for each of their guests which was still a lovely alternative! Sometimes venues just aren’t too keen on non-biodegradable confetti, so you may still be able to use petals, flowers, lavender is also a super nice option to use.
Another tip, would be for a heatwave wedding, double check with your venue if they have fans for the room you are having your wedding breakfast in. Some venues don’t have air conditioning, you and your guests will be thankful for it, especially during the speeches. Oooo it was a scourcher on Lauren and Gary’s wedding and in an old property it was super hot!
What an incredible wedding this was. It was such an honour to be a part of Lauren and Gary’s wonderful wedding in Dorset – here are a few images from the day
