When I first received Joe and Cat’s enquiry to photograph their wedding, I was beyond excited to capture their wedding day in August. High school sweethearts, and being together for almost 12 years, they were planning to get married at the gorgeous Orchardleigh Estate in Frome, in the beautiful Orangery and Walled Gardens.
The venue itself, is stunning! I had always wanted to photograph a wedding there, and despite the drizzly start to the day, the weather cleared up perfectly, meaning drinks on the lawn in The Walled Garden, group photographs outside as planned, and lots of amazing opportunities to get photographs of Joe and Cat around the grounds, which is one of the main reason they chose the venue.
I started with Cat and her bridesmaids during hair and makeup, which was the perfect, relaxed morning, and Cat wanted some photographs of her granny getting her hair done and ready for the big day! It was such a lovely morning filled with family popping by, beaming smiles and the prosecco flowing. I then headed across the courtyard to capture the last minute touches of Joe and his groomsmen getting ready.
The venue was decorated beautifully, Joe and Cat had clearly put a lot of time into making the venue beautiful for their wedding day. They are such a lovely couple and it was an absolute pleasure taking photos of the two of them, their friends and family.
So here is a small selection of my favourites from their day! Thank you again Joe and Cat for choosing me to photograph your day, it was truly really special!
