I met Charlotte and Rhys back in August for their engagement session and they chose the beautiful location in Hampshire, at Lepe Beach. I love exploring and finding new places and so do these two so it was a perfect spot for us to have a wonder round and capture some natural photographs. And a Beach Engagement Shoot is totally up there with my favourite places to shoot! It was really lovely to get to know Charlotte and Rhys better ahead of their wedding day next year and hearing all about their plans for the big day. They also told me all about their travels over the years and their favourite places in Asia where they spent some time travelling! I am a proper romantic at heart and loved hearing how Rhys proposed on a beach in Wales, that was one of the reasons they chose to have their engagement session on the beach.
I know how nervy it can feel being on the other side of the camera – I am not a great fan of having my picture taken, hence why I am always on the other side of it! Most people I photograph have never had an engagement or portrait session before, let alone then having to be all romantic and abit PDA in front of someone you just met in person, and it is super common for the couples I meet when they come to the shoot to be super nervous. I am totally the same! But once we had a chat and got to know each other a little they were absolute naturals in front of the camera. I like to see it that couples come away from a shoot having spent a fun, chilled out hour or so with a new friend who managed to capture some awesome shots of them just how they are as a couple.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the photographs from Charlotte and Rhys’ engagement shoot in Lepe Beach, Hampshire. If you’re looking for a photographer to capture a natural couple or engagement shoot, in Dorset or Hampshire, please do not hesitate to get in touch to book in a session!
