When Adam and Lisa contacted me earlier in the year to photograph their wedding in September, I was super excited! Although they live in Winchester, Adam is from Bournemouth so we met locally in Westbourne for a coffee and a catch up about all their wedding plans. They are the sweetest couple from the point that I met them I knew we were going to have an amazing time and their wedding day plans sounded so lovely!
They were initially abit nervous about having their photographs taken and mentioned this to me during our inital meeting. A couple of months before the wedding Adam got in touch about having an engagement shoot – it was one of my favourite engagement sessions and I am so pleased that Adam and Lisa loved it. I definitely think that helped them feel more relaxed on the wedding day.
On the day we were pleased with fabulous weather, until we arrived at the reception venue! The heavens opened just before we were about to head outside for the group photographs! Whilst I think its really important to have a timeline on your wedding day, and stick to it as much as you can, I am also super flexible and sometimes we have to go with the flow on the day – especially if the likes of the weather prevent us from getting outside. Whilst it would have been ok to get the group photographs inside, outside definitely wins for me as I personally think they are the best photograph.
I had the best time getting to know Adam, Lisa and her family, and I think you can tell they had a wonderful day! Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.
Much love, Charlotte
