Jade and Andy got married a few months ago and they decided to have their legal ceremony at the absolutely stunning Poole Guildhall, followed by a beautiful back-garden marquee wedding a couple of days later at Jade’s parents house. Poole Guildhall has to be one of my favourite Town Hall’s for wedding ceremonies. Firstly it is in the heart of the Old Town in Poole Quay, secondly it’s an incredible beautiful, light and airy room – just a dream to photograph in!
I joined Jade, Andy and their family just before the ceremony where they all got together for a pre-wedding celebration drink. Jade and Andy didn’t originally think they wanted the legal ceremony documented – but decided last minute that it would be really special to have it captured. It was an absolute pleasure spending an hour photographing these two and their family – such a special and intimate occasion witnessed by their closest loved ones, it got very emotional, I definitely welled up and it was super special to be involved in photographing their legal ceremony.
Sometimes your plan for your dream wedding celebrations mean that you can’t legally get married in the venue or location you want. Jade and Andy had a vision of an opulent and romantic day in a marquee on her parent’s lawn. Unfortunately, with restrictions in the UK we can’t get married just anywhere, so planning to have the legal ceremony on another day, means you then have a lot more flexibility and freedom to plan your wedding exactly how you envision it and have a personalised blessing in front of your friends and family.
