Are you unsure of the purpose of an engagement shoot? Or does the idea of having a shoot just fill you with worry and nerves? Are you thinking do I really need an engagement shoot?
Well this article will give you an insight to why the answer is definitely yes!
I can assure you at the end of it, you will agree you had a great time and loved spending time with your beau, and most importantly that you now have some natural and relaxed images from a lovely afternoon – showcasing your relationship. An engagement shoot is a great time to just be in the moment. Spend time with your other half, away from the busyness of your day to day jobs, away from the distractions. A moment to just enjoy yourselves, your relationship and most importantly have fun. Getting to know my couples is one the favourite parts of my job. I am a real romantic. I love to hear your story, how you met, the proposal, your best memory with each other.
The engagement shoots typically last about an hour. Now this may seem like a long time – but with my shoots, this is not a solid one hour of shooting.
Having your engagement session taken at a location that is important or that has some meaning to the two of you, I think is really crucial when it comes to your session. This could be a place you got engaged or a first date, it could be at a place you both like to spend time, or something you like to do together. We will have a wonder around and take photographs throughout in different locations around the place you have chosen.
We are all guilty of having lots of photographs on our phones (don’t get me wrong so do I) – but taking the time to have an actual session where you both can enjoy yourselves leaving me to capture natural photographs, I promise you won’t regret.

They explained they were a little bit nervous about having their picture taken, so we chatted about possibly having an engagement session and the benefits of doing so! […]
