Sam and Lindsey were planning their small intimate wedding with just 12 guests and the sweetest little flower girl at Careys Manor in Hampshire. Sam and Lindsey explained to me that they hated having their picture taken, to be honest, most of the couples I photograph also say the same thing! But Sam and Lindsey were smiling ear to ear throughout the whoel time I was with them so it worked perfectly for getting those natural images and candid moments.
Sam and Lindsey opted to have a small photography package, to capture a little bit of them morning preparations, the ceremony, group photographs and then I would head off and let them enjoy their meal and the rest of their day. They really weren’t fussed about having a big ceremony or wanting to be the centre of attention. The whole event, was just perfect for the 2 of them and being there to capture such an intimate event in their lives, was just such an honour.
They chosen Careys Manor because they loved the overall vibe of the venue. A traditional building, with beautiful details, and the venues focus on food and local produce was definitely another selling point as eating, drinking and hopefully enjoying some sunshine was something they were both looking forward to!
Charlotte is charming, professional, compassionate and was GENUINELY interested in us as a couple. Lindsey and I hate having our picture taken. Charlotte took this very much in her stride and offered many options and suggestions to us whilst keeping our concerns at the heart of everything we discussed.
Charlotte puts a lot of emphasis on getting to know you personally and this detailed understanding of you and your relationship really transposes into her work. Being able to show people who didn’t attend our photographs and have them instantly understand the essence of our day is the sign of someone who has mastered their craft.
We would not hesitate to recommend Charlotte to anybody else. Size of wedding, location, theme all become irrelevant as the detail comes from Charlotte’s intrinsic understanding of personalities and relationships. We were delighted to have her photograph our wedding and join us on our special day.
