Planning an outdoor wedding blessing? Or looking for an amazing way to style you wedding ceremony location? No matter whether you are inside or outside, you will definitely want to consider something like this, a wedding arch would be sure to catch all of your guest’s eyes and transform your wedding venue.
Working with an inspiring creative team, is when exciting and beautiful things happen! I was super honoured to be asked to work with Clair Lythgoe again to photograph a new addition to her wedding florist services which is this insane floral arch! Made completely by hand and then constructed on site by Clair, filled with this amazing array of flowers and foliage to create an awesome Autumnal lookbook.
“This is quintessentially everything I’m about… I’m at my happiest in the woods… I love bark, I love wood, I love moss and most of all I love foliage… mini shoot featuring my birch arch with the fabulous” ~ Clair Lythgoe
I absolutely love this time of year just before the winter season hits. There is a drop in the temperature, a crispness in the air and the trees are changing colour. Clair added natural dried hops with red eucalyptus and burnt orange foliage – it smelt incredible – then added dried purple hydrangea heads with pink peppercorns and peacock feathers. Creating a floral arrangement like this was just incredible to watch – with the added pops of yellow sunflowers, it was the perfect autumnal look that Clair was looking for. It was so freshing to see different colours used and not just typical red, coppers and browns that you would normally think are autumnal.
Clair teamed with Sarah and Sam, my favs from Linen & Lace, a local wedding hire and styling company. To make a real statement look, and as an extension to the arch, grouped together were vases full of lilacs, pinks and oranges – with touches of dried lavender, gold apples and acorns and a beautiful backdrop of ribbons and silks! This would make a beautiful setup for a epic floral arrangement for your wedding ceremony.
