I first met Katie and Ben back in November 2016 and we went to a super cute little wine bar in London, to meet for drinks to get to know each other and chat all about their plans for their wedding day. They talked about their lovely travels as a couple and whilst spending time in Australia, Ben proposed to Katie. When they moved back to the UK they wanted to find somewhere that had the same beautiful feel and beaches like Australia had. So whilst they hadn’t got that much of the day planned at that stage, they had secured a Church in Poole Quay and then Shell Bay for their reception.

Well they definitely picked the best spot in my opinion! Not only is it my home town, but Shell Bay is one of my families favourite seafood restaurants and we have been going there for years – we even looked at it for our own wedding day! A couple of day before the wedding we got together to capture their New Forest engagement session which you can SEE HERE.

They chose to have their wedding in Poole Quay at a beautiful church and Katie’s Dad conducted the service after walking her down the aisle, which made it truly special. After their ceremony and an epic confetti exit, Katie had planned a surprise dress change at the hotel she got ready out! She definitely did it in style and I absolutely loved the look on Ben’s face, who had no idea why we were all sneaking around when we had a boat to catch! But the dress change was definitely worth it as it ended up being on of the hottest days in June. So hit with a heatwave it made the whole boat experience around Poole Harbour even more incredible.

Katie and Ben’s day was totally filled with love, laughter, adventure and amazing company, with friends joining them from all over the world, it was a beautiful day and such an honour to capture.
