Weddings by Charlotte Bryer-Ash Photography

“Taking pictures is savouring life intensely, every hundredth of a second” ~ Marc Riboud

Wedding PhotographyChoosing a wedding photographer is such an important decision during the wedding planning process. A wedding photographer is the only wedding supplier you will be dealing with and have contact with throughout the majority of the process – before, during and after the wedding. So in my opinion, it is important you find a photographer whose work you adore, editing style you love and that you feel you click with them, what their purpose is and most importantly that you get on with them as a person!

I am based on the beautiful South Coast of England between Dorset & Hampshire – the perfect combination of the beach and countryside! This page, is purely about information for you, explaining why I am the wedding photographer for you, and what you can expect if you book me to capture your day.

When I get asked what my style of photography is, I would describe is as a combination of so many things – but in just a couple of words, it would be romantic, natural and authentic.

I love to capture my couples as they truly are, not how I think they should be. With my camera, I am a documenter and a creative storyteller.  Whether it’s an couple shoot or on your wedding day, I capture and document your day, keeping in mind my style, but my main aim is to deliver you beautiful, authentic and natural  images that you will love for years and years to come.

I take a limited number of weddings each year as I believe my couples deserve a photographer who is passionate about their wedding, who is ready for their day as if it is the only one that year, and have all my energy and creativity pouring into your day.  So, if you have decided I am the photographer for you (yay!) you can contact me through my website HERE or via email to check to make sure I am available for your wedding date. If I am, I will definitely do a happy dance and send a super excited message to my fiance and then quickly after will be hitting reply to your email. I will send you over a wedding brochure and details about the service I can offer you.

Romantic Garden WeddingOnce you have both had a look through, I would love for you to get in touch to book in your complimentary consultation. If we can, it would be amazing to meet in person over a cup of tea or glass of wine. This gives us a good chance to have a chat about you both, about your plans and ideas you have in mind for your day and then I can answer any questions you might have. Usually it will be about the different packages, and how I can help if you are nervous about having your picture taken. If you’re not local to Dorset/Hampshire or London then no problem, we can catch up over the phone or have a chat over Skype – which is how I meet a lot of the couples I work with.

Once you’ve decided that I am the photographer for you, and you are all booked in the diary, you can tick it off your list and no longer worry about it! I understand how busy you are and really appreciate how much is involved in planning a wedding with the endless list of things that need to be sorted. Once you’re booked in everything is taken care of and done for you.

In the couple of months leading up to your wedding date, we will be in touch to chat about your wedding day timeline and the group photographs you would like captured on the day. I want to know your plans and get excited with you about it.

I absolutely adore weddings, couples and people in love!

I approach every wedding capturing the moments that take place, the details you have spent so long choosing, the guests you carefully invited to enjoy your day with, the moments you may not have realised were going on in the background, to give a true reflection of your day.

After your wedding day, for me the process is only just getting started! I will loving curate your wedding images depending on the package you have selected, and typically for a 10 hour wedding day will deliver a minimum of 550 images. I control the editing process and edit each individual image to give you consistency throughout your entire set of images in my signature style. The couples I work with love the fresh, light and airy feel to my photography – so my focus, but I just naturally bring out the beautiful colours in the image – no heavy, crazy colour edits or vintage filters from me.

So if you’re looking for a photographer who is passionate about weddings, who understands the romance and intimacy of a wedding day – who is keen to capture natural moments as they unfold and provide you with beautiful photographs that you will adore forever, then please get in touch. I would love to hear about your wedding plans and which photography services I can offer you.

Charlotte was amazing; she is such a friendly, loving person and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We were on exactly the same wavelength and she understood our vision perfectly- we even exchanged style ideas on Pinterest. The photographs were exactly what we were after; she did a brilliant job!

So how did I choose Charlotte… Well first I started following her blogs on Facebook then become obsessed with her images, especially her engagement shoots. It soon became very clear to me that I had to let my friend down gently and quickly book Charlotte before she got booked up! When we meet her she was so easy to get on with and her ideas were perfect and exactly how we wanted the day to go… Relaxed, relaxed, relaxed. Absolutely no posed shots and that’s exactly what we got. Even when we did grab some of our family together for a quick pic she still managed to capture us all laughing and looking in opposite directions, they were perfect! We couldn’t of asked for more from Charlotte and I’m so glad I realised the importance of booking a professional photographer instead of asking my friend to do it, I think we may have been a bit disappointed in years to come thinking ‘why didn’t I ask Charlotte Bryer-Ash’!

Charlotte captured our wedding in September 2016 at the Tythe Barn in Launton. She was really easy to liaise with in advance of the wedding, and we had several chats over Skype to go over the plan for the day. In the week running up to the wedding it was clear the weather wasn’t going to be on our side, but Charlotte was so calm and confident that we would still be able to get the photos we wanted – it was very reassuring! On the day itself Charlotte was professional, calm, direct and was great at making sure people were where they needed to be. The rain turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Charlotte managed to capture some wonderful images in the fading light after the wedding breakfast. We are so pleased with how Charlotte captured our day and would wholeheartedly recommend her to all prospective couples looking for a brilliant wedding photographer.
