Choosing a Wedding Photographer

“Taking pictures is savouring life intensely, every hundredth of a second” ~ Marc Riboud

Salisbury Wedding Photographer

A wedding photographer is the only wedding supplier you will be dealing with and have contact with throughout the majority of the wedding process, before and after. It is important you find a photographer whose work you adore, you love their style and what their purpose is and most importantly that you get on with them!

I absolutely adore weddings, couples and people in love!

I could talk about weddings all day every day. I love finding out about your relationship, the proposal, why you chose the beautiful wedding venue you did, what is important to you both – and most importantly what you truly want out of your wedding day.

I am based on the beautiful South Coast in Dorset – the perfect combination of the beach and nearby woodlands! Although being a wedding photographer based in Dorset, I am more than happy to work locally, throughout the UK or even abroad to capture your relationship and special moment.

I take a limited amount of weddings each year and I believe my couples deserve a photographer who is passionate about their wedding, who is ready for every wedding as is if it is the only one that year, and have all my energy and creativity pouring into their day.

Choosing a wedding photographer is such an important decision, because whereas the flowers will last a couple of days after the wedding day, and the wedding cake is eaten, your photographs truly last forever – this is an area you don’t want rush.

If you have any questions or need any help making your decision, please feel free to get in touch with me.

Charlotte was amazing; she is such a friendly, loving person and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We were on exactly the same wavelength and she understood our vision perfectly- we even exchanged style ideas on Pinterest. The photographs were exactly what we were after; she did a brilliant job!

So how did I choose Charlotte… Well first I started following her blogs on Facebook then become obsessed with her images, especially her engagement shoots. It soon became very clear to me that I had to let my friend down gently and quickly book Charlotte before she got booked up! When we meet her she was so easy to get on with and her ideas were perfect and exactly how we wanted the day to go… Relaxed, relaxed, relaxed. Absolutely no posed shots and that’s exactly what we got. Even when we did grab some of our family together for a quick pic she still managed to capture us all laughing and looking in opposite directions, they were perfect! We couldn’t of asked for more from Charlotte and I’m so glad I realised the importance of booking a professional photographer instead of asking my friend to do it, I think we may have been a bit disappointed in years to come thinking ‘why didn’t I ask Charlotte Bryer-Ash’!

Charlotte captured our wedding in September 2016 at the Tythe Barn in Launton. She was really easy to liaise with in advance of the wedding, and we had several chats over Skype to go over the plan for the day. In the week running up to the wedding it was clear the weather wasn’t going to be on our side, but Charlotte was so calm and confident that we would still be able to get the photos we wanted – it was very reassuring! On the day itself Charlotte was professional, calm, direct and was great at making sure people were where they needed to be. The rain turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Charlotte managed to capture some wonderful images in the fading light after the wedding breakfast. We are so pleased with how Charlotte captured our day and would wholeheartedly recommend her to all prospective couples looking for a brilliant wedding photographer.
